Consultation for lines or wrinkles

These treatments work by relaxing and reducing the activity of the muscles in the face. The treatment is a safe and effective way to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The treatment is used to treat lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines and ‘crow’s feet’ around the eyes by a few painless injections under the skin.

Most treatments last between 3-6 months.

The results are outstanding which is why this is a popular cosmetic treatment and a good preventative for ageing.

Lip enhancement

Lip fillers are a cosmetic procedure that can give you hydrated ,fuller and plumper lips. The most common dermal fillers today are products that contain hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can improve the appearance of your lips by adding:

  • Shape

  • Structure

  • Volume

The effects typically last around 6-12 months depending on which dermal filler is used.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are small injections of gel, which contain hyaluronic acid,  are used to fill out wrinkles and creases in the skin.

They can also be used to increase the volume and definition of cheeks and lips.

Pain is minimised by using a topical anaesthetic cream and to provide further relief and alleviate as much pain as possible, our fillers contain a pre-mixed local anaesthetic.

Most treatments last between 6-18 months.

Microneedling

microneedling.jpg

Automated micro-needling using a skin pen is an innovation in aesthetics for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and the skin's texture, tone and color.

Benefits of Microneedling:

1. Reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

2. Improved skin tone and texture and softer.
3. Younger looking skin with fewer signs of
ageing.
4. Improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation as well as uneven skin tone.
5
. Improves acne scars, traumatic scars and
stretch marks.

Microneedling is also effective for alopecia and general hair regeneration. The process works in much the same way; as the wound healing response takes place, it stimulates blood circulation and increase nutrients reaching the hair follicles, this combined with the stimulation of proteins in the area can result in new hair growth.

  Microsclerotherapy

What is Micro Sclerotherapy?

Micro sclerotherapy is a safe, well established technique used to treat spider veins or thread veins on the legs.

It is a relatively straightforward procedure which involves injecting a solution with a very tiny needle into the veins which causes the lining of the vein to breakdown, triggering a healing response which will cause the vein to disappear over time.

What results can I expect?

The results are not immediate.

The veins look worse before they look better and the treatment may need to be repeated t 4-12 week intervals.

Most patients see at 60-80% improvement on the appearance of their veins after between 2-5 treatments.

Are the results permanent?

The veins that are successfully treated will not reoccur but we can’t stop new ones from developing which could happen over time after the treatment.

Their results are effective, yet the damage is minimal. The treatments are performed in clinic, and courses range between 3-6 treatments dependant on individual needs.

Different protocols can be combined in a prescription program and the strength and depth of the products are controlled by the skin specialist, based on application technique and the number of layers applied during the skin resurfacing procedure.

pHformula is taking skin resurfacing to the next level, by introducing an ‘outside in’ and ‘inside out’ philosophy. Advanced dermatological skin resurfacing procedures working by use of powerful skin nutrition to provide the skin with full benefits of assisting skin in rapid skin restoration.

 Fat dissolving injections

Fat dissolving injections use a lipolytic agent that reduces appearance of a double chin or other areas of stubborn fat deposits, which are not easily removed by diet or exercise.

Lipolytic Mesotherapy treatment is highly effective for reducing localised fat deposits, coupled with regeneration and improvement of skin elasticity.

Active ingredients are released into the target areas rapidly but in a gentle manner without side effects. The combination of lipo-active ingredients aid in mobilization of free fatty acids which help in fat metabolization.

Active Principles: Phosphatidylcholine ( in Purified Soy Lecithin )

Does it hurt?

We inject small amounts in an area with a local numbing agent. It is a pain free treatment.

Will I see an immediate effect?

There will initial swelling for 2-3 days and once it starts settling, you can see an effect in about 10 days.

Skin lesion removal

moles.jpg

A mole or skin tag is a cluster of skin cells that can appear anywhere on the body. Usually brown or black in colour.

The majority tend to be benign (not cancerous). Your GP will advise on this.

Unfortunately most GPs will not treat benign moles or skin tags anymore meaning you have to look at alternative options.

Skin lesions are usually removed by surgical shave. After careful examination, the area around the mole will be cleaned with anti-bacterial solution to limit infection and the area will be numbed.

A small blade to shave off the mole and some tissue beneath. Stiches are usually not required.

You should be able to go home very soon after your procedure. If you experience any pain following your mole removal, over the counter pain relief such as Paracetamol can be used.
